Wow.. Ted Cruz Campaign was just on MSNBC... Said they don’t need to win any of the states moving forward

I don’t understand how he can say this. Cruz has not reached the 8 state threshold as per rule 40b. (As far as I know)

He must have some assurance of rule change. Because as I understand it Trump is the only one who qualifies to be on the ballot so far.

I think he has (see too certain territories that count as states for party purposes), and I also believe 40(b) will be revised to allow more or less open nomination.

As stated above they will try and disqualify the Trump delegates at the convention door and not let them in. Cruz is perfecting “the art of the steal”.

I have been too busy to follow the thread so I am just now catching up but the reason Ted is saying that he doesn’t need to win anymore states is he is counting on all of the delegates he stole to make rules that would keep Trump out.

The rules everyone have been following were for the last convention.

They will set new rules for this convention first before the convention convenes and those rules will be made by the delegates for THIS election.

This years delegates can also challenge the seating of delegates so St Ted is counting on all of these delegates making rules to bar Trump and also challenge his delegates.

That is what the meeting was supposed to be for in FL last week but they decided to let the delegates come up with the rules for this convention. I guess so they can say, “We didn’t do it. THE DELEGATES DID”!!!

Thank God Trump hired Manafort!

The stupid media keeps eating out of Priebus hand. The word is that no RULES were changed, when the truth is no CHANGES were recommended for change.

The Rules Committee meets just prior to the National Convention, as in the few days before the convention opens.

THAT is the meeting just prior to Convention where the Rules are actually changed.

It is possible the Rules will not be changed, but nothing is in stone.

Apparently, the RNC is being courted by TRUMP, and muscled by the GOPE and pestered by Cruz.

This is the honeymoon for the RNC. They will entertain the factions, but sooner or later they will have to name their call. They lay their swords down for TRUMP, or they will fall to the room full of clamoring Cruz delegates, or they will go with the Paul Ryan and drop a bomb on Cruz and Trump.

We need to have our ducks in a row on the FIRST Ballot. We may need a little help from Priebus by a few delegates to fill in the blanks for TRUMP, and to avoid chaos at the Convention.

Otherwise it is a Credentials nightmare with everybody’s delegates challenged and possibly removed.
