Both Rafaels raise questions that are not easily answered.

A. Who paved Cruz’s way into Princeton & Harvard? Who paid? Without connections it’s very hard to gain acceptance. He did not come from the typical prep school. Hispanic foreign Canadian status? He hasn’t whined about paying off student loans. Someone had to help Cruz land SCOTUS clerkships. Has there been an invisible hand behind Ted due to his father’s past?... Daddy Bush?

B. Rafael B. Cruz is an interesting character. Most Cubans, especially those his age, express bitter deep hatred and anger towards Fidel Castro. They have family and friends that Fidel imprisoned, tortured or murdered. Repression and communism destroyed their lives. Castro seized all their assets - homes, property, businesses, banks, cars, and personal wealth. They lost their freedom to speak freely, object, assemble, travel, etc... they lost everything and they will curse Castro as long as they live.

The Cubans lucky enough to escape Castro, never went back. Certainly Cruz would have been receiving very negative news back from Cuba from his family and friends. Yet he claims that he returned in 1959.

1) Cruz’s passage to America is odd. It only makes sense that he was very pro-Castro and sent specifically to Texas to live among other Cuban communist exile students. If Cruz had been protesting in Miami, his life would have been cut short. Para-military groups were training in the Florida Everglades with plans to overthrow Castro and liberate Cuba. Omega 66 and other factions would have eliminated Cruz.

2) Aliases. His explanation for dropping his family name tied to his Spanish heritage is not so common.

3) How does a foreign teenager get immediate acceptance to a Texas University? Who pays the tuition, room & board? How did he get from Key West to Texas? Someone made lots of arrangements for Cruz.

4) Cruz speaks Spanish, how does he complete university level studies and graduate in four years.

5) What happened to Cruz’s family in Cuba- parents, siblings, cousins? Did any eventually emigrate?

6) The Cuban community sticks together like glue. Cubans fled to Florida - Miami, Orlando, Tampa. A Cuban teenager alone in Texas is quite the anomaly. One article mentions that there were five Cubans at UT, they must have been planted together, right there, for a reason.

7) Canada. There was lots of oil exploration centered right underneath Cruz’s feet, in Texas. Cruz left Texas for some other reason. (Draft evasion-bigamy-other)

8) Did Rafael resume his seismic-computer career in Texas after he sold his company in Canada.

This ole dog don’t hunt.

Great summation of some very important questions. How does any bright person run for President knowing there are so many MANY strange, unusual questions about your family and their national origins that would play into both eligibility and loyalty?

What is wrong with the American people who don’t question the communist parentage of some of our candidates?? Our people are being taught to pity or worship Trumbo and despise McCarthy. It’s like the spider teaching the flies to love sticky thread.
