I've actually experienced this. I've had to deal with angry moms and angry grandmas because I deduct points for this in speech class. It's part of their culture, donchaknow.

That is not ‘culture’. That is ignorance at best, toxic laziness and idiocy at worst. The adherents to this ‘culture’ only continue to emphasize their lack of education, further crippling their ability to procure and maintain gainful employment now and in the future.
