See how the state attempts to mitigate the physical, economic and spiritual consequences of degenerate behavior by promising bountiful medical, handout and mental health benefits. Their wins for the most part are on the economic front, but on that front, unproductive people need diversions, and the diversions have a myriad of physical and mental consequences they need to follow up on.

Losing control of the state [Republic] to those that “don’t have skin in the game “ rapidly allows it to fill the shoes of evil. I think the only thing past a certain point that can keep it from tipping into a totalitarian nightmare is some level of catastrophe that thins the amoral unproductive faction down to numbers that preclude pandering to them as a useful decision basing block...

When the language of “rights” which is something that comes from heaven is applied to what a cosmopolitan state wants to do for the sake of getting along, we get a perverted evangelical zeal.

Yes, grace has a way of passing over some painful consequences to the sinner (though not to the Savior). If you don’t like that, go rage at the Throne itself.
