Actually, my point (which I’ve made several times) is that when a Republican contender reaches 1,237 delegates, he will be the nominee...it will happen prior to or at the convention...that is unless you want to troll the forum by arguing a rule change so that less than a majority wins. Go for it, Shrimp!

Usually the losers (Kasich and Cruz) rally around the front runner. They have no way to reach 1237 other than back room deals at a brokered convention. They are staying in to be spoiler - NO OTHER REASON! To take the nomination away from the front runner who if short, will be less than 100 delegates and give it to someone who is over 500 delegates short or someone who is not running is stealing the nomination. Please don’t preach to me about Cruz’s great ground game. Or Trump should have schmoozed the delegates. We know many of the delegates are GOPe and have been delegates for years. The delegates are the party. Stealing, yes stealing, the nomination from the frontrunner will result in destroying the party. If you destroy the party, you destroy the Country. Millions will stay home. I am sure most of us on FR would still hold our nose and vote for the lesser evil. What about the cross over voters, first time voters and blue collar workers. They won’t show up. Down ticket races both locally and nationally will suffer. We will have President Clinton. We will have SCOTUS picks left of left. There will be millions of new American voters, even if they do have an accent or don’t speak the language. Republicans will never win another election. So, Please tell me how Cruz and Kasich continuing this charade is good for the Country.
