Peter King: Trump is ‘more reasonable’ than 'hopeless' Cruz

Peter King on Friday said he would back Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump over Ted Cruz, highlighting the billionaire as a more reasonable general-election candidate than the phony, hopeless, irredeemable Texas senator.
King voted for Ohio Gov. John Kasich in New Yorks primary, though he also correctly predicted that Trump would score a big victory in the state Tuesday. Similarly to the way he shied away from characterizing his vote as a Kasich endorsement, King stressed Friday that he isnt endorsing Trump but remarked that he would choose the real estate mogul over Cruz.
But Donald Trump, to be an effective candidate in the general election, has to show substance, King told CNN. He has to show that he's gone just beyond, you know, the name-calling and the sound bites and, again, he's not my first choice for candidate but he's got to show that he knows what he's talking about.

Im glad you dont wield the ZOT-bolts because you lack both the judgement and the temperament to responsibly handle that duty, IMHO.
Your 'humble opinion' does not count for squat.
As far as what youre gonna do, I plan to stick around and KEEP MY INTEGRITY and refuse to be intimidated by bullies such as yourself.
Oh you're such a precious snowflake. You spew your Trump-hating bullshit with nearly every post you make, and then when you get called on it, you start whining about "bullies", you can dish it out but you sure as Hell can't take it.
I realize that this is a private site and since Ive NEVER been a free rider I financially help support the site by making monthly automatic donations (although my user name doent show up on the list of donors, possibly because they arent ad hoc donations quarterly donations but automatic).
That's probably why my screen name doesn't show up either. I'm on auto-monthly myself. Not that it was even an issue, and I never inquire or ask what another poster's contribution may or may not be, that is again, between the poster and JimRob. So not even sure why you felt the need to raise that subject.
Lastly, IMHO, you show some signs of having a narcissistic personality since you include many people as addressees in posts such as the one to which Im responding (you know, look at me, look at what Im doing).
No dumb ass, it's called a *ping* list, I am privileged to have many FRiends who have asked to be pinged to the posts I make, and I am likewise pinged to many of their postings made in reciprocation. So you can return whatever dime store psychology certificate you think makes you qualified to diagnose anyone as being "nascissistic", and as I just told another Trump-hating troll, "work on that case of premature exasperation".

There was a time when Peter King of New York was regarded with great contempt here at Free Republic. There was a time when Ted Cruz wasn't.
Think about that for a moment, and ask yourself why.
Let me help: we've seen Cruz with our own eyes, heard him with our own ears, and he has failed to persuade. Indeed, he has alienated many, even after being the consensus first choice of the members of this forum.
The didn't happen magically. Someone came along who is clearly a better choice, and who didn't scramble over to the GOPe to pile on in a vicious, relentless campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in the modern era.
Ted Cruz's missteps are his own fault, his naked opportunism has become painfully apparent, and his egotism and narcissism are now making Donald Trump's supposed character deficits pale in comparison.
Maybe Ted Cruz will see the light after Tuesday's upcoming debacle. Or the one after that. Or...

President Hillary is totally unacceptable! By Jim Robinson
We the People have voted and are voting to finally wrest control of our government from the entrenched corrupt establishment, aka, the uni-Party.
Cruz, Kasich, et al are mathematically eliminated and cannot win the nomination per the voters.
They can attempt to re-wrest the nomination away from Trump and away from We the People only by corrupt establishment treachery at the convention. And that will split and destroy the party and guarantee a Hillary win.
NeverTrump is a losing proposition and will lead to a loss of liberty and loss of country.
This is totally unacceptable.
After the corrupt establishment losing twice in a row to Marxist Obama, I’m damned tired of the corrupt establishment and damned tired of losing.
If you are a NeverTrump type person, you are working against our purposes on FR, so please opus out now and log off and let us carry on with our mission in peace.
Continue insulting us with 24/7 anti-Trump diatribes and insults, your opus will be assumed.
We will unite behind our nominee and we will win this coming election (with or without you) and we will get a handle on this divided forum very soon.
Hope you understand my position.
By the way, Cruz’s campaign still refuses to answer the question whether or not Cruz will support Trump if he’s the nominee. He’s taking the GOPe route of preferring Hillary over Trump. This is also totally unacceptable.

Congratulations mkiessup. You haven’t succeeded in having me ZOTed, but my posts now need to be reviewed prior to posting. I can also no longer do private replies as I found out when I tried to do a private reply to Jim on his “President Hillary is Unacceptable” thread.
And just so you know, I’m not a “Trump-hater” as you called me. I’ve supported Ted Cruz as my preferred candidate as, to me, he has proven his bona fides. Trump is the only other candidate running in the primaries that is acceptable to me and has always been my (now distant) second preference. I will support Trump if he gets the nomination (better than 50% odds now that he does that) but I worry about his weakness in the general election. I know, that is a very unpopular worry now. Of course, I won’t be a happy camper if he chooses a liberal such as Kasich or an Amnesty-pimp such as Rubio as his running mate.

Don't congratulate me, I *pinged* you to the Hillary is Unacceptable thread as a courtesy and all I stated in that specific *ping* was that you seemed to be having some difficulties with stated FR policy, nothing more and nothing less. We all live or perish by our own actions, if we're looking for someone to blame, the first thing to do is look in the mirror.
And just so you know, Im not a Trump-hater as you called me.
Your past posting suggests otherwise.
Have a nice rest of your weekend.

House Atreides, I reviewed your posts just now and whilst it's apparent to me that you're a CRUZ supporter, if not anti-Trump, what jumped out at me is your very rude tendency or habit to call other members NOOBS and here you are a 2011 sign up!
Were I you, I'd stop that immediately, like yesterday, given that you are hardly an old timer. I rarely pull that card from the deck. Hundreds here are senior to me!
You also seem to pile on, in lieu of picking your own fights. Maybe you're just unhappy. Prayers for you, dear.

Will the Neil Bush bundlers allow Cruz to ascend? He is a frantic puppet in their hands, to be discarded at the right time. And what of the Soros tool Kasich? There's so much smoke blown up his skirts he's Mary Poppins floating over rooftops.
The Mad as Hell Americans will fend off the felonious assault of Col. Rosa Klebb. Prepare for victory on every level.
