Sorry to disappoint, it's nothing as dramatic as all that. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Copyright restrictions still exist, especially the restrictions imposed upon the owner of Free Republic by The Los Angeles Times, which also happens to be the site where you found the photo you copied and pasted here on Free Republic, violating L.A. Times copyright restrictions, putting said owner at risk of having to pay attorney fees.
