For all you folks saying he switched his position, I would just like to point out to you that he never claimed that he wanted the federal government to interfere in this matter one way or the other. He was asked for his opinion. There is nothing inconsistent in saying that he thinks the N.C. law was not necessary and bad for business and saying that this is still a decision for the states to make. I think he should have made that clearer yesterday morning, but they are in no way contradictory positions. He certainly never said as president that he would try to use the federal government to stop N.C. after all.

Trump also never said NC didn’t have a right to pass the law he just believes the issue has not caused a problem rising to the level of necessitating a law. I agree. Its his opinion.
