You are right, as you already knew. Those who do not put America First are no conservatives. They may be religious. They may be good Christians. But the key foundational principle of conservatism is love of country first. Right now we have people focussed on the use of toilets relative to state law and one of our 50 states.
It may be an issue. It may be important to them as the moral crisis of their lifetime.
But loving America and putting America first, that is the issue that I care about.
There may be no politically correct way for any of us to go to the bathroom after Iran nukes us, or Mexico takes our last job.
The guys who dropped out have in some cases dropped out because they love this country. The traitor to our cause refuses to drop out because of his love ego and self.
Go Trump. Go away Ted, you got a job in Texas to do.

No we are principled Conservatives.

What profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul?

By throwing principle to the wind, you have sold your birthright for a mass of pottage.

You forget that there is a level of government beyond man, although perhaps you do not believe in God. Those of us who do know the day will come when we answer for our decisions, for our willingness to stand for what is right. If you are willing to throw those principles away so you can "win" you will have won nothing and stood for nothing.

That is between you and Him, just as my decision is between me and him, but there are some things I will not vote for.

There is nothing conservative in casting principle to the wind to vote for a political chimera.
