I never understood this while standing concept. Wouldn’t any citizen have the potential to be “injured” by a person executing and signing laws that would govern him/her, especially if that person was not eligible for the office? One would think therefore that any citizen would have standing on this issue.

Wouldnt any citizen have the potential to be injured by a person executing and signing laws that would govern him/her, especially if that person was not eligible for the office? You have to be able to articulate and demonstrate an injury to you that is separate and clearly identifiable apart from the general injury that would be suffered by the public at large in order to have standing.
