Gotta look thru the pages...this is first page that opened..According to the link below, I'd say yes. I don't know the shorthand name for that act beyond "Canadian Citizenship Act", it became effective Jan 1, 1947, and was replaced in 1977. I have seen references using both 1946 and 1947 as the date.
