Have you learned anything about who the shooter (s) might be? It seems odd they haven’t even released a “person of interest” name. I guess it’s possible they don’t know, but it seems unusual. No bolo for vehicle or person.

Since it seems this happened in the middle of the night it’s odd the dogs didn’t start barking, unless the shooter was known to them.

Useless speculation I know, but something is kinda ...off. I can’t put my finger on it.

It seems strange to me they kept the babies alive but killed the adults. That suggests sentiment for some reason so it ties into your ‘known to them’ thought.

I’m hearing nothing substantive. The dispersion of the sites suggests more than one shooter to me, and that suggests vendetta. It really sounds like an execution of a family.

It’s not terror because that’s more random. This is all one family even with a couple miles separation. So, it was targeted and intentional.

The location is right at the Appalachian escarpment in southern Ohio, and probably slightly under the highest elevations in southern Ohio. It’s is a huge hunting area, very sparsely populated, and that spine of hills runs south, hits the Ohio River and picks up again in eastern Kentucky, then eastern Tennessee. Lots of wildlife, flora, fauna, etc.

There’s a meth problem and a heroin problem in the counties, but that would be pure speculation, although it might explain a vendetta. The home I saw looked too well kept and cared for to be any kind of drug dealership. They were obviously lower economic strata, but they cared about their lawn, paint, barn, driveway, etc. Not fancy, but cared for. Strung out people wouldn’t do that, and people raking it in wouldn’t live so simply. Just my opinions, but I’ve known this area a long time.

Extremely weird - and there is still no arrest. I read in a news story that other members of the family had been informed, and told to be on the alert against threats ... Indeed.
