Trump is non-ideological. His positions on culture are driven by what is popular. That is the very reason that the Libertarians have adopted him. trump,is the ultimate, go along to get along kind of guy on social issues. He just doesn’t care.
Trump’s remarks about North Carolina law were that it cost the state money to oppose the same sex bathrooms.
And why was the question even put to Donald? He is not in any plausible place to do any good. Last I heard, presidents weren’t expected to champion state laws.
It all comes down to dollars these days.
