Or, is it just another easy pot shot question that leftists ask of Republican candidates only, knowing it will put them in a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” position?

And yet, Cruz answered the question just fine:

"We shouldn't be facilitating putting little girls alone in a bathroom w/ grown men. That's just a bad, bad, bad idea."

Cruz’s answer was just fine for a conservative audience. Unfortunately, there aren’t even enough conservatives to get him nominated by the GOP, much less win him a majority against the Democrats.

If Cruz did win the nomination, that answer would be thrown back in his face so fast it would make his head spin. It would be the very first question of the very first debate againt Hillary, and Cruz will wind up looking like the worst hate-filled xenophobic bigot, while Hillary would come of looking like the protecter of innocent minorities who simply want to use the rest room where they feel comfortable.

If I’m wrong (and I wish I was), then that great answer of his will strike a positive chord with the general public, and Cruz will sweep the remaining primaries and ride a wave of approval to victory in the fall.
