What’s wrong with these talkers, don’t they want people to listen to them anymore? Pissing off half or more of your audience just isn’t good business. Hannity, Ingraham, and some others have managed to stay in the game without turning into flat-out shills like Rush, Levin and all of the Glenn Beck cast of idiots have done.

I don't know the radio business at all, except I think programming is sold in package deals, if syndicated. While someone like Rush Limbaugh can command his own affiliates, not all hosts draw enough audience to necessarily opine with sincerity. Hannity, working for Murdoch half of the day, manages to walk a line. Ingraham is a breath of fresh air, though I do not know who distributes her show, as I have to stream it.

I think they sell their “endorsement” or support to the highest bidder. All on the QT. They know, and the politicians know, the talkers have a degree of influence. That influence has a price.

Switching stations and caught couple minutes of Beck fawning over Barton. Bring him on the show to “teach” us Beck says. Sad.
