I think the question that needs to be asked is, are social issues the most important part of this election cycle? I think it needs to be part of the platform, but illegal immigration, protecting our borders and fixing the global problems Obama caused are 1,2,3, on the list.
I think what a lot of people like about Trump is his position on illegal immigration. This has caused more problems over the last 8 years and the spigot needs to be closed.
We shouldn’t mistake Trump’s conservatism or lack thereof for his popularity and message about making America great again. What people understand is Trump can fix many of America’s financial problems, a message Romney could not gain traction on.
I like Cruz, but I will gladly vote for Trump if he is the nominee. And it is inevitable he will be, but the string has to play itself out.
