10’s of thousands of US soldiers that have served in various wars have more compelling stories of heroism than that.
By this measure, we should have Audie Murphy on some bill.
Sorry, heroism itself does not quite = influence on country.
Especially when there are so few bills/coins to use for the honor.
My only possible acquiescence to this would be the idea we’d have rotating honors every XX years. Been doing that with coins now for the last 15!
And by your definition, every one of them who wasn’t a white male would be affirmative action heroes.
