It is nothing more that PC garbage.
Lincoln stays because he is a saint for PC. Because he “saved” blacks. Notice Dems unanimously hail Lincoln. He will never, ever be removed.
The other white guys are fair game. They are ready to be kicked off/sidelined because they owned slaves or otherwise just were part of “the Man’s” world which is ipso facto, evil.
This is less about promoting black historical figures and more about slapping the important white ones in the face.
I chafe at this because Tubman wasn’t even truly important to the country. Fred Douglass or Booker T. are moreso. Not that I think they are quite the status of Jackson, but closer.
Nothing more than “stick it to ‘The Man’” retribution than anything else.
Andrew Jackson must be erased from a historical figure because he was politically incorrect for our enlightened times and probably worse, he went to battle against crooked money men and bankers.
