Michelle Fields says she wouldn’t change how she has handled the events of the past month or so. She only wishes she could go back in time and decline the request to cover a Donald Trump news conference in place of a colleague who was sick.
Then, she told POLITICO over drinks at a Washington, D.C. hotel bar, she would never have come into contact with Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, and she would still have a job she loved as a reporter for the conservative website Breitbart.

I apologize, but couldn’t resist using this thread to say that, IMHO, men and women are no different when it comes to ethics, kindness, and caring. That’s not a slam on women, but an observation that is germane to this election and the general ‘women should run the world’ mantra. I’ve seen kind, good, empathic women hurt horribly by men, and have seen the same in reverse. We are all human, irrespective of gender. This person, Michelle Fields, is a perfect example of a female narcissist who hurts others with impunity in order to gain attention and feed her narcissistic ego. Many men have had their lives almost destroyed by such women. Many women have had their lives almost destroyed by such men. Just an observation.

This gal's lament over what she would have done differently, reveals her as someone who doesn't take full responsibility for their own actions. This was an unforced error on her part, either in the touching of Trump when she wasn't supposed to or not doing what the Secret Service told her to do and that was to stay away from Trump. She did it anyway.
This self-inflicted wound to her ego and career will come to an abrupt end soon when her 15 minutes are up.
