I was not aware that Illinois had the good samaritan law, but that is good.

I do not think a duty to treat law would be wise, especially given the need to protect oneself against contagions. If one must assist someone broken and bleeding in the street, it should be done with appropriate safeguards for one’s own health, such as gloves, mask, etc.

Indeed. Mrs. L and I both carry first aid kits containing masks, gloves, and eye protection in our vehicles.
