And it doesn't make any sense passing a law making abortion illegal and not punishing the mother for having one!

So, you are either going to allow abortions or outlaw them and punish them as crimes.

The St.Cruz zealots can't seem to grasp that simple fact!

One way or the other, it is an issue that belongs to the states and the citizens of each state to decide as they see fit. Abortion is NOT a constitutionally authorized area for the feds.
