So why won't he stand up against a small number of perverts and simply state what we all know to be true?

Maybe he thinks it is a sideshow trap. Who knows, at any rate it is insignificant when compared to the the real issues.

The real issues, as you call them, will never get resolved to our liking unless someone has the guts to stand up for what’s right. Trump talks a good game but he won’t even stand up for something as simple as this. That being the case, how will he ever stand up for things that will bring even greater controversy? Right now, he’s on the wrong side of the issue and he’s just a lot of talk.
