Why does government deserve this money? I always believed taxes were for revenue - not social engineering. That's liberal crap.
Who said anything about social engineering? Taxes should be for raising revenue. Period. Not for manipulating behavior.
Some level of government is necessary. Defense for instance. The burden for paying for it should be spread across everyone, not just the upper 40%, or cigarette smokers, or whatever.
