“Watch as “conservatives” abandon morality in real time in order to conform their principles to the orange idol they worship.”

****

Find the demand to unify behind Trump (when he’s not yet the nominee) mystifying, particularly as the same advocates at best held their noses and voted for McRINO and Mittens the last two cycles (or just stayed home).

For some reason, we’re supposed to turn a blind eye to some fundamental flaws now and get with the program before he’s won the nomination.

No doubt we’ll be told to shut up and like it if Trump picks Kasich or some other liberal as his running mate too.

What gives?

Good questions.

And they made me think of a few more:

Trump may or may not reach the required number of delegates to be the republican nominee before the convention. But why the demands that Cruz just step aside and hand him the nomination before that happens? (Demands that include vitriolic attacks against Cruz and his supporters who are both then expected to give their unstinting support to Trump’s candidacy.)

I can’t help wondering how many Trump supporters who have been the most vicious against Cruz and his supporters actually refused to vote for McCain and/or Romney. Because if there are any, it would be very interesting to hear why they think they have the right to attack folks who have concerns about Trump’s conservatism and character.

The best thing Trump has going for him is the support he’s getting from Sessions and Palin and Carson.
