I’ve read 4 different articles and not one is Trump quoted blasting the new law. Nor did he defend “perverts”. Lauer was trying to trap him and all he said was it wasnt a big issue the way things were and now that it is, it has become an economnic issue. That is factually correct.
He didn’t come out swinging for or against any state laws. Nor should he.
By the way, anybody afraid of their young children getting molested in the bathroom should accompany them anyway. That is allowed.
As a woman, I frequently encounter young boys that are brought into the ladies room by their mothers, who obviously don’t feel they can trust them to go to the men’s room by themselves.
That I understand and don’t mind. But once I was in a stall with a bad latch. Suddenly the door opened and I saw a boy about 10 or 11 standing there, gawking at me, who I assume was brought in there by his mother. Really, mom? You don’t trust an 11-year-old to go on his own?
