Sadly, schools have been a mess for a very long time; even the very expensive, ELITE, private schools!

It's a parent's job to correct and reteach the right stuff at home! It's something that sadly, few parents do anymore.

OTOH, even with good schools, one still has to teach stuff at home, because so much gets left out anyway. :-(
