That's not going to give us a party with candidates that support fundamental constitutional (republican) values. Given that as a requirement for the goal of "destroying the uniparty", it still won't have been accomplished, so those values still won't be important in choosing the next candidate. The strategy and stated objectives seem to produce a scenario where "feel good" social issues must come before fundamental constitutional issues, and will continue to for the foreseeable future.

No it won’t, but your dream of having a party that supports ‘fundamental constitutional republican values’ is only going to work if the voters fight for it, and the party graciously (sarcasm is intended) allows it to happen.
