I get your point and concede that border security may be your primary issue. But building a fence or wall is not necessarily a Conservative position. The Soviets secured their borders. Conservatives don't have to.

You leave out the important parts, the Soviets wanted to secure their borders from their citizens escaping the madness that is Socialism/Communism, we want to secure our borders from criminals/ terrorist entering. Or do you lump Conservatives in with open borders crowd because all the Conservative people I know want a wall on the border and want it patrolled and the madness of illegal immigration cuerailed before we lose our country.
