Perhaps. But this seems like wishful thinking. Shows how powerful Rush’s hold was on so many of us. Yes, Trump will maintain an atmosphere of friendship because that’s who he is. He even agreed to meet with Megyn Kelly. But Trump hasn’t mentioned Rush’s name in a long, long while.
A Trump nomination and Presidency spells the end of Rush’s hold on a large listening audience. That’s the threat Rush is likely pushing back on.

Yep. In the early rallies, Trump would call Rush a “great guy” and quote him. Then he would quote him, leaving out the “great guy” part. Now he doesn’t even quote him.
Trump has noticed, and doesn’t forget. One of the things I love about him - he takes names.
