Everyday, this guy comes up with something else in the way of an attack or a threat. Politics is one thing, but insulting and threatening supporters of the front runner is just plain stupid. It doesn't matter if he were successful on the 2nd ballot or the 20th ballot. Without Trump supporters, he would lose worse than Goldwater in ‘64.

I have only two answers to this strategy; Either Cruz is considering a Third Party Run or his ego is so big, he's completely blind of reality.
