New Yorkers in droves are disgusted by the way the democrats have ruined the state by making it inhospitable to business through its high taxes and encouraging the loss of manufacturing. The democrats have ruined the state so badly that they can’t even hide it anymore; at least upstate gets it and the outer boroughs as well.
That is why the “Trump can’t win against Hillary in the general” statement is just not accurate. Those people who will cross over in the general and the Independents are not being accounted for (yet). This is the Reagan democrat crossover for Trump that WILL happen nationwide.
Does this make Trump liberal? (rhetorical - not aimed at you Beautiful ... Gracious) NO!! Rather it causes the people who think they are liberal to channel their inner (and very real) conservative within. In other words, even liberals have (perhaps subconsciously denied) at least a dim understanding that without conservatism there would be no money being produced to create jobs to fund the liberals’ tax and spend policies and the endless “robbing of Peter to pay Paul”.
Eventually the horrible economic conditions in New York and the nation’s debt in the trillions is forcing them to see reality, causing them to at least consider a conservative such as Trump that they are not totally turned off to and can get behind, not a sign that Trump is liberal.
