There are 5,792,497 registered democrats and 2,731,688 registered republicans. That's slightly more than a 2:1 ratio.
Comparing raw numbers of votes on that basis just doesn't make sense.
Reading comprehension is hard also. I was talking about those New York values and more than just Cruz having a problem there. You should work on that.
