With 100 percent of election districts reporting, New York state's unofficial election-night results website has Donald Trump losing only one of New York's 27 congressional districts: The 12th, which covers parts of Brooklyn and Queens as well as the eastern side of Manhattanincluding the Fifth Avenue block that's home to Trump Tower, which is where Trump lives and where the Trump Organization is based.

First line is Trump, second line is Kasich.
All in all, a great night for Trump even with that 70-vote loss in Manhattan County!
so this will be the spin on how he actually lost New York I suppose.
Trump needs to learn the “Seattle trick” to win districts like this. ;-)
What is the “Seattle trick”? That is where the Democrats register homeless people in Seattle to one address that is the county courthouse—dozens of homeless people, one address.
Then, miraculously, they all turn out on election day and vote for the Democratic candidate.
The “Seattle trick” was good enough to get a Democratic governor elected by a handful of votes a few years back.
I called her Governor Fraudoire.
I would not be at all surprised if the GOPe throws both Trump and Cruz under the bus at the Republican Convention and gives the nomination to Kasich and make Rubio his VP.
How depressing! I hate the Dems :(
Because there are no consequences for their actions, whatever it is they do either “never happened” or “everyone else does the same thing”.
Reportedly, some members of the Donald's family forgot to register (the GOP NY primary was closed).
Mark 6:4 (Luke 4:24)
Maloney actually defeated the last Republican congressman from Manhattan, ‘Bill ‘ Green. Represented the Silk Stocking District.
Both party primaries were closed-it’s been that way since 1976, and has been the subject of a pretty high profile lawsuit.
Dino Rossi told me about the tricks the DemonRATs played to turn his win into a loss.
Shhhhh, Cruz may be listening.
End justifies the means Party, just like Cruz and his supporters have become.
I thought the Seattle trick was the old “Forgot the ballots in the car trunk” ploy?
There is no “Manhattan County.” It’s New York County, for starters, but the vote is by Congressional district, and the district that Kasich won is Manhattan’s Upper East Side and parts of Brooklyn and Queens.
The local party leaders must be very happy with that, as Kasich was the least vomitaceous choice of these poor benighted souls. I hope those who didn’t bother to vote or who voted wrongly at least know what they did: they followed lockstep in their masters’ path, just like all the people selling their convention votes all over the country. Let’s not hear a word about that from them, at least.
The d heads at slate don’t read the bible at their own lament
There is a good reason there is a major gospel reading that ranks s yearly Sunday reading at mass on he subject of Jesus as a successful adult being rejected in his own town
It might not be the same reason trump is being rejected but the lesson is it just doesn’t matter
And it doesn’t
Being rejected by ones own state is not good but that’s not what’s going on here though slate would hope so would nat review
If he were getting say 44% that’s what the media would love but that’s Cruz in his Texas.
It will be interesting to see if Kasich keeps his win after the audit. Some voting places allegedly had no Rep ballots only Dem and vice versa. Some allegedly only had A-M voter lists but no N-Z. Granted, those most affected are likely Dems, but there are at least some Reps that may have also been unable to pull the lever. But if Kasich won the district fair and square, no hard feelings and no whining here about that.
The only question I have of Kasich is, if he’s so confident that he’ll be picked at the convention regardless, why is he still running? Why not go home, kick off the shoes and wait it out?

The problem was that they were ALREADY registered as Independents, and changing party to GOP had to be done way back before October. NEW registrations could happen just a month early but CHANGES had to be done more than six months ahead. Kind of crazy, but it does prevent Dims from messing up primaries with operation chaos antics.
