In his piercing, dentist’s-drill voice, Cruz was shouting at Hannity, and reeling off a long list of Trump’s people’s blunders. He can’t understand how he can be beat by STUPID PEOPLE. Doesn’t everybody realize that SMART PEOPLE deserve to be President???

From everything I’ve seen, the rumors of Cruz’ “brilliance” are greatly exaggerated.
The only situations where he has “shined” were when he’s had plenty of time to do research (or have others do it for him), memorize and/or read. Thinking on his feet is not his strong suit.
