This weekend's biggest, and most shocking story, was the report that in response to a proposed Congressional Bill that would allow a probe into the Saudi role behind the Sept 11 terrorist attack, Saudi Arabia had threatened the US with dumping its roughly $750 billion in Treasury holdings.
What was curious about the story is that while Saudi Arabia implicitly admitted it had a role in the September 11, the Obama administration was actively doing everything in its power to prevent the Bill from passing, and thus to keep the truth under wraps, leading many to wonder if Obama was more concerned about his own people or a handful of uber-wealthy Saudi princes.
Moments ago White House spokesman Josh Earnest chimed in, and validated all of those fears.
EARNEST: BILL WOULD OPEN U.S. TO GLOBAL LEGAL VULNERABILITIES WHITE HOUSE SAYS IT IS CONFIDENT THAT SAUDIS RECOGNIZE THE SHARED INTEREST WITH THE U.S. IN PROTECTING STABILITY OF INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SYSTEM EARNEST: DON'T KNOW IF BILL WILL BE TOPIC ON OBAMA SAUDI VISIT

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
I wish he would STAY there!!! He would be more comfortable with those maniacs. Maybe he is going to visit with the bunch he just let go from Guantanamo.
And by "shared interests" he means Obama and the Saudi royal family have the same religious interests.
Interest rates would rise 10 basis points for a few days, then go back down.
invade Saudi Arabia , kill their leaders , take their oil and convert the population to Christianity .
Oh yea , and bulldoze Mecca & Medina
No matter what the issue, Obama has his price. On the side of self, and certainly not the American people.
The "handful of uber-wealthy Saudi princes" ARE his people.
All members of Congress have had the opportunity to review the redacted 28 pages and defy the previous and present administrations by making the results public, “classification” be damned. The fact that exactly 0 of them has is proof that Congress is complicit.
The Republicans cover for the Democrats and the Democrats cover for the Republicans.
That means that we will never see these 28 pages and we will never know the entire story of how the administration gave aid and comfort to the Saudi Royal Family in the days following the Attacks of 9/11.
Oh yea , and bulldoze Mecca & Medina
After thermonuclear sterilization.
I'm in!
Did he show them his bum!
How is this any different than if FDR covered up the attack on Pearl Harbor, blaming it on radical Shinto separatists instead of the Japanese Empire? Every President and past President still living should be tried and hanged for treason.
Don’t forget that the Bushes and Clintons are involved in these ‘28 pages’ also...
It was when Jeb was Gov. of Florida that most of the 9/11 terrorists came though to America and was given Driver Licenses and made their way to where they needed to be;
GWB was the one that shipped the Saudis that were here through Florida to get them out of the Country;
And what a better way to get back at Saddam than have the Saudis enact 9/11 and blame it on Saddam, just to get the oil that Bush wanted...
There is enough out on the internet that you can piece this story together if you look hard enough...
The main reason they want another Bush or Clinton in the White House...
No,Biden was unavailable.
This response by Saudi Arabia is a searchlight in the sky for the investigation. Do they think we are stupid?
The Media will care about this story as soon as a Republican is elected President.
“Unless you elect Trump. He’ll have it out on Twitter before the last Inaugural Ball wraps-up.”
Trump could not legally release the 28 pages without consent of Congress.
He may leak it, but the GOPe and the Bush family would “Make Him An Offer He Could Not Refuse” in their negotiations with him not to release the document.
Unless you elect Trump. He’ll have it out on Twitter before the last Inaugural Ball wraps-up.
The exploding heads from that would be awesome.
