The threshold for “taxable income” used to be $600 for each individual who could be claimed as a dependent, earning less than $600 annually, or receiving more than half his annual support from the “Head of Household”.

Of course, those guides were set up during the Second World War, when just about EVERY household was contributing something to the national effort. Now we do not have a generally accepted need to defend the nation against foreign enemies.

And it shows.

Used to be that way. Making it not that way was a REPUBLICAN idea.

Why should we be forced to pay the feds anything at all? 99% of what they do is either useless or destructive.
