What do you mean "just following orders? (Or is that another attempt to trap him with twisted words? "Just following orders" is a mite notorious considering the things that has been used as an excuse for).

He didn't work the case.

What part of "not his case" eludes you?

He didn't even sign off on it, his name appears on the Attorney General's Office letterhead, right along with everyone else who had a title in the office.

Read the Brief why dontcha?--or are you allergic to facts?

That doesn't mean he approved of the case, nor that he had anything to do with it. He was the Solicitor General of Texas at the time, and the attorney of record who signed the paperwork would have handled it.
