Totally agree! For a while I thought that when Cruz’ lies hit critical mass, he’d lose some of his more religious FR supporters. That never happened, and like you I am surprised.
People who say they love Ted because he's a "Principled Conservative" don't care about his lies or they'd have dropped him like a rock when he announced his run for President in spite of his not being a Natural Born Citizen.
Their tune will change when a Saudi Prince with just as much claim to being NBC announces his run. Then it'll be, "OMG, doesn't anyone read the Constitution ?"
