Oops! Don’t look now, but Trump’s buddy Jeff Sessions is also listed as a cosponsor. I guess Sessions is all in GOPe now along with Cruz, according to your definition.

The Corker Bill started as something good - a way to make Obama accountable to the Senate for something he was trying to slip by without consent. Unfortunately, it morphed into something hideous, as often happens in the legislative process.

Calling Cruz GOPE while exempting Sessions would be intellectually dishonest, now that I’ve brought it to your attention.

Where did I call him GOPe ? I just pointed out that he cosponsored the bill, which is more than just voting for it.

Plus, I don’t exempt anyone - Sessions included - who voted for that bill. They should all be held accountable for voting for that bill and Corker primarily for caving to Obama by creating this bill instead of insisting on the Iran deal being voted upon as a treaty. Every Senator - that includes Dems and Rep - that voted for this ( the only one who can hold his head up high for voting against it is Sen. Cotton ) is guilty of turning the treaty provision of the Constitution on its head. Instead of requiring two thirds of the senators present to approve the deal as a treaty, this bill explicitly says that you need 67 votes to undo what Obama’s done - in essence giving “treaty” power to the Executive branch. They should be ashamed of themselves.
