Please reread my posts. I didn’t mention the name “Cruz” as far as I recall, much less “blaming” him. My objection is to the rules they set up in Wyoming. Simply stated, they fly in the face of even the GOP national rules for how the party, including state parties, are to be run. They state:

PREAMBLE:
...”It is the intent and purpose of these rules to encourage and allow the broadest possible participation of all voters in Republican Party activities at all levels and to assure that the Republican Party is open and accessible to all Americans.”

Can you understand that less than 1% participation is not “allowing the broadest possible participation of all voters in Republican party activities”? If not, there’s nothing else to say, really.

Allowing participation does not mean people will participate. The caucus allows people to get involved directly with fellow participants, precinct captains, and grass roots candidate supporters. This level of involvement does not happen at a polling place. In states with primaries, you will find that this level of participation occurs with far less than 1% of those showing up to vote.
