The US hasn't had a national government representing American interests since the late 80's. What we've had instead are bureaucratic functionaries and BS artists greasing the wheels of transnational agencies and financial institutions. Saudi Royals are part of that network, so Obama bows to them while Bushes kiss them and hold their hands. And if Saudi money bags happen to give some of their oil money to radical clerics, well, that's a small price to pay for political and financial globalization.
True to some extent. We will know for certain it is “Mission Accomplished” if the GOPe install someone other than Trump or Cruz as the Republican candidate this summer.
