All the analysts seem to be persuaded that Donald Trump doesnt understand the Republican Party rules that cost him some delegates in Colorado.
The rules were published last year. They were there for all the candidates to read and understand. Any of them could have done what the Ted Cruz campaign did in wooing those delegates. It wasnt against the rules. It was part of the rules.
Ive heard newscasters and pundits say the Trump organization just didnt get it. Maybe they overlooked the rules. Maybe they didnt understand them. Maybe they never read them or acted on them.
But what if Donald Trump, the master negotiator, the brilliant media tactician, the unparalleled manipulator of public opinion, DID know all about the rules? What if he didnt bother going after those delegates because he knew it would benefit him more profoundly if he didnt turning what was perceived by his supporters and the general public unfamiliar with the arcane rules of the GOP into a national cause célèbre that would help his campaign steamroll over the competition in upcoming primaries in New York, Maryland, California and elsewhere?
Am I the only one who thinks Donald Trump didnt earn $9 billion by being stupid?
Im frankly really surprised that so many bright people, cynical people, suspicious people havent considered this possibility.
I have.
We all know Trump uses unusually harsh rhetoric in attacking people. He calls them liars. He calls them cheats. This is not the kind of talk we normally hear in American political campaigns, unless someone doesnt know the microphone is live.
Trump does it routinely every day.
*snip*
I have always believed its calculated behavior.

Post ten confirms the game plan. Lots of national attention.
The PARTY looses if the support the no vote delegates particularly with what was heard yesterday about how actual delegates were eliminated.
That photo reminds me...I need to add cottage cheese to my grocery list.
Two business sayings explains possible behavior.
Don’t throw good money after bad.
Your first loss is your best loss
Well, has anything much except Trump's fight with the GOPe been in the news ?
He put the GOPe and Cruz on the defensive on purpose.
Trump is not stupid,of course he knows. He is just a liar using this part of the election to play His followers like a worn fiddle.

Yes, and voters of the other candidates that Trump will need if he won the nomination will hate his filthy rotten guts.
Trump is too stupid to figure that part out though.
Off topic: 2 Maryland firefighters shot and killed by thugs per Fox News.
“He got in the race to promote a contract for a new reality TV show”
That wins dumbest post of the day.
Another scruzerbot that Is just so fixated on trumps butt that they don’t realize they sound like degenerates. I guess that is to be expected from someone that thinks that there are no other states but Texas. Thank God there are non scruzers from Texas that recognize we have 50 states, not one, they are the salt of the earth people.
Actually, I suggested this lady week.
Rush laid out this same BS theory yesterday. He also left out the electioneering part.
Trump is playing it very well, I think. Manafort is tending to the detail work, and Trump is prepping the public perception battlefield. If a Cruz second-ballot delegate is disqualified from the convention, the attempts to call the disqualification "dirty tricks" will be countered with a claim that Trump and Manafort are just using the rules.
That said, I don't think Trump is engaged in this sort of strategy from the start. This is not part of his delegate accumulation plan - compared with Cruz and the GOPe who have executed their side of the plan (delegate selection) many times in the past. I think that Trump is a "political ground game" neophyte, and likely missed opportunities to battle that he would rather have taken.
That's what Manafort said about the Colorado delegate seating action. That the Trump campaign saw how it was being managed, and knew that resistance at that place and time was futile.
Conventional wisdom is that they walked away, and that's that. But the rules go beyond delegate selection, and whatver "walking" took place is retreat, not surrender.
Sounds About right to me. Recognizing that the GOP leadership is sick of losing, but still keeps messing up. They are a different breed of pups, and so totally out of touch with their base that they are destroying any future they nay have in even communicating with them. You know that democrat leadership are a scummy, control freakish bunch of socialists,we expect better from the party of Lincoln and Reagan.
BFF = Best Friends Forever
Well he already had a TV show and let’s face it most of us were not aware of all the stupid archaic rules the GOPe has used to manipulate us. Now anyone who looks can see it and PC has been clearly exposed as manipulation and been sent to the dust bin.
Trump would never invest his time and money if he didn’t plan to win. But win or lose, he has certainly opened many eyes to the fact that the RNC is as corrupt as the DNC only better at hiding it. Well Trump has laid it out for all to see.
Americans are supposed to be free not manipulated by paid officials who lie to them every 2 to 4 years!
A good explanation of the current state of politics. Our leaders are so completely myopic thsy can’t tell they’ve been flanked
Do you hear those sirens? They are coming to take you away to the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time, etc.
I thought it was creative, whether it is sarcasm or the product of wishful thinking.
You have to admit, it takes guts to air some thoughts and beliefs on this forum!
