What if Trump really does understand system?
WND ^ | Joseph Farah

Posted on 04/16/2016 2:36:21 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

All the analysts seem to be persuaded that Donald Trump doesn’t understand the Republican Party rules that cost him some delegates in Colorado.

The rules were published last year. They were there for all the candidates to read and understand. Any of them could have done what the Ted Cruz campaign did in wooing those delegates. It wasn’t against the rules. It was part of the rules.

I’ve heard newscasters and pundits say the Trump organization just didn’t get it. Maybe they overlooked the rules. Maybe they didn’t understand them. Maybe they never read them or acted on them.

But what if Donald Trump, the master negotiator, the brilliant media tactician, the unparalleled manipulator of public opinion, DID know all about the rules? What if he didn’t bother going after those delegates because he knew it would benefit him more profoundly if he didn’t – turning what was perceived by his supporters and the general public unfamiliar with the arcane rules of the GOP into a national cause célèbre that would help his campaign steamroll over the competition in upcoming primaries in New York, Maryland, California and elsewhere?

Am I the only one who thinks Donald Trump didn’t earn $9 billion by being stupid?

I’m frankly really surprised that so many bright people, cynical people, suspicious people haven’t considered this possibility.

I have.

We all know Trump uses unusually harsh rhetoric in attacking people. He calls them liars. He calls them cheats. This is not the kind of talk we normally hear in American political campaigns, unless someone doesn’t know the microphone is live.

Trump does it routinely – every day.

*snip*

I have always believed it’s calculated behavior.

You are very close as the party is afraid of being cut off from it’s robbing and thieving.

The target in the general is different, an enemy of my enemy consideration. Taking the fight to the opposition in that case will garner applause and support, even if he’s not their first choice, as long as he targets the common foe.

Yep...he’s been looking for an out for some time now....and why he’s whining about the process being rigged....by deligitimizing the process that will satisfy his supporters that he didn’t just quit, so he won’t have to deal with them when he walks away from this.

Powers that be will likely help him get to convention, once he’s got his home state, but still whining in order for him to save face and protect his Brand, so he can walk away from this...once they’re at convention.

You’d think Trump supporters would have caught on to this since he’s not been showing up in states for conventions etc....also that he had been meeting with the RNC and FBI of which Cruz wasn’t a part of......the idea is to help him leave without the obvious consequences otherwise.

As I keep saying...watch what Trump isn’t doing that he should be doing more than what he’s actually saying or doing.

...” When Colorado changed the rules Trump knew immediately and planned accordingly”....

No planning for Trump at all....the idea is of course to not oppose Cruz so that everything can be set for Trump to walk away from this and save face as he wants to do. Crying everything is rigged will also help him to save face with his supporters.

But he’s not planning on being President...never was.

Baloney...Trumps so far away from understanding the system of our Government and anything about it that 6th graders could put him to shame.....and why he won’t debate about polices.........he’s about stage presence and how things appear and look...not what they are....he’s an entertainer and a shyster.....and you guys are being played bigtime.

Close off avenues of retreat and push your adversary into an untenable position, then offer up a resolution which allows both to attain something they want.

How many delegates from Colorado do you think DJT will get. Or do you think he is just holding out for a change in the national rules. Demanding representative votes

There was Compuserve-—AOL-—Friendster-—MySpace-—and currently Facebook. A shift of perception occurred; and, then the familiar became quaint. People then seek fulfillment in a venue more attuned to their needs.

This is applying the tools of the new media to spark political enlightenment. The venerable party of Lincoln is considered from a new perspective. Eyes opened, it’s difficult to go back to sleep.

No we're not.....however debating with your political opponent on the issues that concern the voters is significant. Trump's more than avoided this...and he still has not framed his positions clearly with how he intends to pull this off when he's being interviewed. It's an easy thing to have a back room full of writers show you what to focus on and make sure to dodge the important issues, in order to present a favorable picture with buzz words......but for those who want to hear some real discussions between these two candidates it's absurd that Trup continues to "run away".

One opinion considered 4 or 5 delegates a possibility, should he have gone all out in Colorado. It perhaps is better an effort is applied to shift the focus of the voting public toward examining the party leadership’s game-plan, and whom benefits by their actions. More effective to raise awareness of the voting base to examine the machinations within elections, and prompt engagement with the party toward seeking redress.

If he can get enough people to believe that he was cheated, then he won’t have to admit that he lost. Meanwhile, there will be a lot of damage left behind in his wake.

“You have to admit, it takes guts to air some thoughts and beliefs on this forum! “

Lol, it’s true.

Especially these days!

Lithium might help, Rosie. Try an overdose for starters:

You sound like a Trump supporter - dumber than a box of rocks and proud of it!

I’ve dropped my share of clunkers in here. I usually own up to them though. It can happen with any issue, even something that has no political ramification, like some engineering or physics thread. Don’t get too close to the religion threads, oh my!!!

...”If he can get enough people to believe that he was cheated, then he won’t have to admit that he lost. Meanwhile, there will be a lot of damage left behind in his wake”....

Well as we’ve seen all along it won’t take any effort at all for Trump to persuade his followers, they are “believers” in whatever he presents to them.

I just can’t get over they still can’t see this coming.......Trumps failure to go after the delegates, the fact he had no ground game, no shows at caucuses, failing to accoamodate the few he fielded for appearances sake - who often complained they had nothing to work with. They only watched his rallies and gloated about the numbers, eagerly waiting til the next one or TV appearance.

I hate the man because we had a great field of candidates running who never were heard because this blood sucker was playing out his personal reality show..”I’m running for President”....and the media and public tuned into it every day 24/7 like an episode of Dallas. But of course that’s exactly what Trump wanted...presenting himself and his Brand 24/7..for free no less!

He’s made a mockery of this election and this nation a laughing stock worldwide. ..rightfully so.

Well, they’ll let him take his state, again to save face...but you’ll continue to see him without any ground game otherwise.
