Kasich would be the olive branch to the establishment wing of the GOP.
He seems to have the kind of pedigree that Trump alluded to, with a lengthy stretch in DC, plus the executive experience as a governor.
Also, Ohio is a swing state with 18 electoral votes.
His speech at the NY GOP Gala seemed to be well received based on the numerous applause I heard, and in listening to it, as much as it pains me to say so, was factual and filled with a number of political accomplishments. Preparing to hold my nose for the umpteenth time.
Is it 5 o’clock? I feel like a stiff drink is in order after coming to terms with these cold hard facts.
Kasich says he would serve no candidate as their VP. Maybe his ego is that big and he won’t- fingers, toes, legs, and eyes all crossed for that one.
My $.02 on Kasich FWIW. Given he’s running for president, I think he had to say something like he didn’t want to be VP. If he said that, everyone/many would be telling him to drop out and align with Trump or Cruz or ?? I agree with your comments about the GOPe and Ohio electoral votes.
Hey, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere - go for it! Maybe start with a lighter one? I may have a glass of wine with my lunch whilst watching the 1st rally - have to see (don’t know what I’m making for lunch yet).

DJT is smarter than that. I hope he doesn’t find himself in the same position that JFK found himself in with LBJ; and Reagan found himself in with GHWB.
DJT has said repeatedly that he just wants to get in and fix things “for a little while” and then give it back. Give it back to the GOPe? After wrestling power away from them, he would give it back? If that is his true intent, the whole effort is a colossal waste of time. Perhaps he is just saying that to “calm their fears”.
