I am writing this from one of the nuclear power plants in China. There is a military base here.

I didn’t realize that the Chinese would allow internet access to a site such as this one. Or do you go around government restrictions somehow, perhaps by a satellite hookup?

In a lot of societies, holding hands by two persons of the same gender does not indicate a romantic or sexual relationship.

You see it a lot across Africa, Asia, and Southern Europe/Balkans.

I can’t speak directly about what it means in your part of China.
