Republicans still will hold precinct caucus meetings in early 2016 to begin the process of selecting delegates for the national convention — but the 37 delegates are not pledged to any specific candidate.

True - if the delegates declared themselves as unpledged when they filed to run as a national delegate, then they are unbound. But if they identified themselves as pledged to a particular candidate when they filed, then they are bound to that candidate for the first ballot. They don't even get a choice - the state chairman casts their ballot for them based on who they listed on their filing.

It seems to have not been mentioned that Trump chose to FIRE his Colorado State Director a week before the convention. I would assume he and his crew would be the ones coordinating their reps to the convention to select delegates.

If the Trump Super Management Team had it all together...oh, they wrote off Colorado before the convention, choosing not to have either candidate nor high level substitute even attend. They did not have a professional presence. They get a two-fer, abandon a state and blame it on Cruz...

Worked for some the the less intellectually gifted.
