Just had another thought. The DC Madam files are closed for public distribution They are still open for LEO perusal. That may be the reason the judge did what he did —so culprits couldn’t destroy evidence knowing they had been exposed.

You may be on to something there. I didn’t know that LEO could view the files. If that’s the case, and there is no gag order on them per se (I’m not sure, but I think it only covers the attorney), then it seems that if there were some LEOs that wanted to do so, they could review the files and release the info they wanted to - let me know if I’m off base here.
IF what I said above is correct, then I could see someone like Sherriff David Clarke or one or more of the Border Control officers doing that. I suspect Sherriff Joe would be happy to do so (he never runs from so-call controversy) but I think it would be better if he stayed out of it since he endorsed Trump. Just my $.02
