Speaker Ryan is heading over to the RNC HQ’s (now) to convey emphatically via a press conference, that he is not interested in being nominated for the position of President in a contested convention, laying the issue to rest, at least for this election cycle.
My first thought in hearing about this talk, was that the first We Will Walk postcard tsunami had crashed ashore- bringing heavy damages to the nearby shores of DC, prompting Ryan to give a somber field report to his chain of command.
The GOPe is playing with fire here - screw Trump and lose the senate and house. That is what is getting their attention - remember, they're incumbents first - the party doesn't matter.
I guess he can hear us, now.
He also said he didn’t want to be Speaker of the House. I wouldn’t trust Ryan. If he told me the sun was shining, I’d have to go out and see for myself.
