Cruz was on board with what all conservatives were saying at the time, representing the conservative viewpoint faithfully. No one could foresee the Obamacare decision at that time, partly because it to this day contradicts all of Roberts’ other conservative decisions which he continues to make. Roberts just got cold feet on being labeled the guy who killed Obamacare.

I think Roberts got cold cash, not just feet. He had a nice convenient excuse to lecture in Malta. Not that you couldn't just wire the money, but that leaves more trails. Oh well --- either way, this look always caught my attention - I have Travis McGee to thank for me first seeing it:
