thank you for the reply. I guess my point was that you used the word “steal” and when pressed for further explanation you said this: “But stacking the deck is going on all over the country and Cruz supporters are very proud of this”. The stacking of the deck is HOW THE PROCESS IS DONE.
I completely understand the Trumpeters being unhappy about their candidate losing these delegates but their disapproval should not fall on Cruz who is merely campaigning according to the rules that have been in place, state by state, for years. Part of running for president is knowing this terrain. Rather, their anger should be directed at their own candidates campaign for not caring enough to follow through. There have been articles for the better part of a year about the ground game that Cruz was putting in place in every state. It seems that a prudent candidate would at least investigate why his opponent was doing that.
Cheers to you.
The only voters who will show up in the general for a Cruz nominee are these zealous party insiders.
It'll be the quickest general election in decades.
If I am reading it right, on the first ballot Trump gets 30 and Cruz 27. Period. So some NC Cruz supporters must vote Trump, but only on first ballot.

Trump average popular vote over 13 districts, he got around 35,000 per. Cruz got around 32,000 per. What a ground game does is find enough of those to take the next step, actual delegate selection.
